There is an Underfloor Heating (UFH) application for every type of floor. The market is for ever expanding and new innovations are constantly on the horizon. Your final floor finish can be tiled, wood, laminate, carpet and even vinyl. Below is an indication of 4 common UFH systems that we use for our projects.
Screeded System
Installed on new build, extensions or renovation projects usually where a floor requires excavation. There are three types of solid or screeded floors; floor panel system, traditional rail system or the staple system.
Suspended Floor System
Installed on new build, renovation and commercial projects and utilised for suspended timber and composite joists. Offering a simple installation system for traditional joists and spacing this system can also be used in ‘sprung’ flooring systems such as sports halls.
Floating Floor System
Used on any sub base for both new build and refurbishment projects. It offers minimal disruption to the existing floor and does not require excavation. A very common option for the majority of homes as it only raises the floor height by a nominal 18mm.
Plate System
Predominantly used in existing properties or refurbishment projects. For underfloor heating applications where access can be a problem, or if disruption needs to be kept to a minimum. This solutions is for fitting between joists are designed to quickly and easily installed. This system can be installed from below as well as above.
